Return of the Quigg!

I'm back! In an effort to create the most obnoxiously long post, I will give you info on almost everything I did.....

Day 1:
I flew out of PHL to SLC, and spent the night in a Super 8 motel. I tried to audiopost, but AudioBlogger was acting funny... ::Sigh::

Day 2:
I drove on the world's most boring highway. Picture 150+ miles of NO VEGETATION WHATSOEVER except for 1-foot tall shrubs. Grrr. Though, I did read "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card. It is amazing, and I recommend it to almost everyone. I also read "Riding the Bus with my Sister" for school. Zzzzz

Day 3:
I went to the Grand Canyon. It's big. Very big. Like, a mile to the bottom big. Not good for someone who is relatively uncomfortable when it comes to large drops. Eek.

Day 4:
I went to Zion National Park. It's sorta like the Grand Canyon, except you're at the bottom. The temperature peaked 105 degrees. But don't worry, it's a dry heat. NOT!!!!!

Day 5:
Bryce National Park. Another canyon, this one much more beautiful. It's hard to describe. Do a Google Image search for "Bryce".

Day 6:
Arches National Park. The world's largest concentration of natural stone openings. The most famous arch, Delicate Arch, is everywhere in Utah, even on licsense plates. I, for one, do not think that it's THAT spectacular. Whatev.

Day 7:
Uber Fun Day!!! We rented a Jeep (mwahahahaha), and drove around Canyonlands NP. Mom got freaked out, Kim got sunburned, Dad and I had a good time. Why'd mom get freaked out? Driving 6 inches away from a 4000 foot drop might have caused it - maybe.

Day 8:
Zzzzz.....

Night 8:
We went on a HUMMER TOUR!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!! We were driven by a professional driver, and rode on an area called Hell's Revenge. Some of you may know that 6% grade means you go down 6 feet for every 100 feet you go across. Hell's Revenge has grades around 150%, including Medicine Hill. Why the name? If you're gonna do it, DO IT (cue Hummer driver gunning engine, like he did.)

Day 9:
Drove to SLC. Met relatives that I have no idea who they are.

Day 10:
Grand tour of Temple Square, the Mormon capital of the world. Quite beautiful, though we weren't allowed to go in, thanks to the fact that only Mormons in good standing may go in... Grr

(I'm missing some days....)

Last Day:
Drove to (I kid you not) THIS IS THE PLACE STATE PARK. I love that name. It's a very Williamsburg-esque state park, where Brigham Young, founder of SLC, said "This is the Place".
